As discussed, the Dyson DC17 is a little on the heavy side. The vacuum has an exceedingly high clearance and can't get under beds, dressers, settees or furniture. There's a floor tool available but it does not come as standard. Dyson make other vacuums having a low clearance, but to clean under furniture with the Dyson DC07 vacuum means having to move the furniture. The development of the Dyson DC07 vacuum is wonderful. The surrounding is made of ABS and polycarbonate, materials used to manufacture crash helmets, automobiles and pipelines.
In summing up, the DC17 Dyson vacuum cleaner is a high quality vacuum. It has some faults - a little heavy and can't get beneath furniture - but these are far more than compensated for with the amazing suction power of the DC07 vacuum cleaner.
